Youngpearl Organization is a community-based NGO that focuses on women empowerment and girl child education. Born out of a burning passion to see gender inequality and violence against women and girls drastically reduced to the minimum, Youngpearl works to empower marginalised, underprivileged and disadvantaged women and girls in rural communities across Nigeria through Educational and skill training interventions.
Founded in July, 4th 2012, Youngpearl has empowered over 10,000 females in Nigeria with the intention of raising strong, self-reliant and productive individuals who can make positive decisions and informed choices for themselves, their families and communities.
Youngpearl has established an annual back2school scheme that provides Teenage girls with Educational learning kits and sanitary pads which enables them to stay in school and learn effectively, vocational training programs that enables young mothers to learn any handwork of their choice in other for them to start up a local business and be economically stable and financially independent. Furthermore, Youngpearl engages local stakeholders and policymakers in communities in dialogues to ensure create pathways and roadmap for women and girls to thrive, abolish harmful cultural practices that hinders them from harnessing their potentials as well as advocates for safe spaces for them to fully harness their potentials.
